About the project
Journal was a personal command center — a single place to track what you're thinking, how you're feeling, what you're eating, who you're calling, and what's getting done (or isn't). It blended structure with self-awareness to help you make sense of your daily life.
Most productivity apps are siloed: one for tasks, another for food, another for notes or mood. None of them help you see how your habits, thoughts, and actions are connected.
Journal validated the concept — people wanted a unified personal operating system. But it lacked the intelligence layer that would make it truly powerful. After learning from Journal's users and limitations, it was closed down, revamped, and rebranded as Chief Exec.
