We know because Startedby began as one of them.

We started as an AI consulting company, working with businesses to understand how they operated, where AI could make a difference, and what should be built or changed. And like every consultant, we started with discovery.

We interviewed people. We learned their roles. We mapped how work actually moved through the company. We uncovered the tools, processes, handoffs, problems, goals, and unwritten knowledge that made the business run.

And we realized something: the discovery wasn't just a step before the work. It was what made the work possible.

But traditional discovery has a problem. It's slow. It's expensive. Different experts repeat it. The knowledge ends up scattered across decks, documents, transcripts, and people's heads. And because companies are constantly changing, even great discovery starts going stale the moment it's finished.

That seemed increasingly incompatible with the world AI was creating.

So we built what we wished we'd had as consultants.
